Waterfalls

With year round rainfall and so much to explore, the Smoky Mountains is perfect for those who want to check out several waterfalls in the area. After you book with us you will get our activity guide which will help you find the best and closest waterfall hikes from your dome. Hikes range from easy (kids ok) to moderately difficult.

Tubing

If you are less of an adventure seeker and more of a lazy river kinda person, tubing may be more your speed. On the same river as the whitewater rafting adventures, the streams slow to allow for more of a casual float on inflatable tubes. This is the perfect activity for the summertime when the domes may get a little warm to enjoy in the afternoons. Only 9 miles from GLAMP. Age limit of 8 years and above.

OFF-ROADING

9 miles from GLAMP Jeep off-roading tours are available on a private 65 acre farm. Tours start at $40 per person or bring your own off road vehicle and learn how to take it off road yourself with guided instruction by the team. We have trails from mild to wild so we have something for everyone!

HORSEBACK RIDING

4 mile, 1 hour, shady trail ride wines through more than 260 acres of the best scenery in the Smoky Mountains. Throughout the ride, you’ll see views of North Carolina, Mount Leconte and Shield’s Mountain Fort, taking a ride through Tennessee’s true history. Well-trained, experienced guides, and the horses are very familiar with the trails. No riding experience necessary. 30 minute drive from GLAMP.

Llama Hiking

Only 6 miles from GLAMP, this unique and memorable adventure includes a trail buddy, A LLAMA GUIDE! The Padgett Mill Trail begins at the Smoky Mountain Llama Treks farm where you’ll meet all our friendly llamas. You’ll get to pet them and feed them while learning all about their amazing lives. From there, pair off with your new llama buddy and embark on a guided, hour-long (approx.) hike up a forested mountain trail into the foothills of the Smokies.

Helicopter Tour

Wanna take in a birds eye view from above the Smoky Mountains?! Helicopter Rides begin at $29 per person and range to full day tours all the way out into the national park or to Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary (supposedly haunted). Or if you are planning to pop the question on your glamping vacation, upgrade to their romance package where you will be sure to get her to say yes! They even offer a gender reveal package starting at $300.

Treetop Skywalk

Located at Anakeesta, discover the longest tree-based skywalk in North America with 880′ of spectacular hanging bridges suspended 50-60′ in the air. Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature as you stroll through the canopy. Experience what it feels like to be a bird in the tree tops. Keep a sharp eye, you may spot a bear on the forest floor below or a woodpecker nearby. Be sure to bring your camera for the perfect family memory that you will want to share with everyone! This is perfect for families and people of all ages.

Live Music and Dinner

Whether you’re enjoying a weekend retreat in the Smoky Mountains, ready for a night on the town, or celebrating a bachelorette weekend, we’re here to give you an incredible live music experience featuring the region’s top songwriters.
You will experience the hits you hear on the radio in a way you’ve never heard them before. The songs are portrayed by the writers themselves. During the week, expect an acoustic setting featuring anyone from up-and-coming songwriters to number one hit songwriters. While some of the weekend shows may revolve around singer-songwriters, they will also be showcasing local East Tennessee singers, bands, and popular national acts.

Culture & Heritage

15 minutes at Pittman Center which is in between GLAMP and Gatlinburg is a popular area for artists and history buffs. If you wanna learn more about the area’s rich historical significance to the US or more about the culture of the Smoky Mountains, this is your spot. You’ll explore the historic city hall, covered bridges, hiking, bird watching, and golfing.

Arts and Crafts

Make sure to cruise through the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts road that includes an 8 mile stretch of shops and cafes. Glamp X Stay Minty’s guide will give you the best places to stop, take classes and explore. Set up a private glass blowing session, pottery class, or candle making session with the artists. Pottery classes are for 5 years and older and class times are about 2 hours. Don’t miss all of the fun arts and crafts this area has to offer. All of these activities are only 14 miles from Glamp by Stay Minty.

Hiking

There are several amazing hikes within a few miles of Glamp. After you book, get our experiences guide for more information on each hike. Hikes range from easy to expert. If you follow us on Tiktok you may have seen the viral video on the wishing bridge just minutes from GLAMP. You can take a hike across the Bridge of Prosperity and then past Lost Mine Falls where at the top you will find swinging bridges.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

Only 9 miles from GLAMP come ride a 65 acre private facility. 6mi loop is a mountainous single track full of challenging switchback climbs and steep descents with incredible views into the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and Cherokee National Park. Beginner and Novice riders are able to ride this route, but it is a robust challenge that some will love and some will hate. Likely to hike-a-bike several sections but if you are looking to ‘up your game’, this is a good fit. Typical lap times would range from 35 to 55 mins for most.
